The Massachusetts Association of Public Pension Attorneys (“MAPPA”) is an organization of more than 50 attorneys.  All attorneys practice public retirement law pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 32 (“the public pension law”) and either work in-house for public contributory retirement boards or PERAC, or represent retirement boards in Massachusetts.  MAPPA also includes junior members who consist of paralegals, legal interns, and legal assistants who are considering the pursuit of a law degree, or who are in law school.
